About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with an active CPA to join their executive team. The CFO will be a key strategic leader, providing financial guidance to the CEO, Board of Directors, and Executive Team. This role is pivotal in the development and implementation of financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and growth objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance, and will ensure the organization's financial health and sustainability. The CFO will also lead a high-performing finance and accounting team, strengthen financial systems and internal controls, and support the organization's regional impact. Applicants for the CFO position at the company must have a minimum of 10 years' progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. A strong background in nonprofit financial management, including fund accounting, grant compliance, and government-funded programs, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and financial governance best practices. They should be adept at multi-entity financial management, possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. The CFO will also be responsible for fostering a culture of financial literacy and accountability across the organization and must be committed to the mission of the company.
