About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's growth and operational excellence. The COO will be responsible for translating strategic priorities into operational plans, ensuring consistent execution across all sites, and maintaining a strong focus on mission and operational discipline. This senior executive will lead a team of functional leaders, including a Senior Case Manager, Senior Job Developer, and CFO Interim, and will be a key partner to the CEO in all aspects of organizational leadership, from hiring to design. Financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, and grant fund utilization, is a critical aspect of the role, as is the development of the operational infrastructure to support multi-site scale. Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive leadership experience in operations, nonprofit management, or a related field, with a proven track record of accountability for multi-functional teams and organizational performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in building organizational systems and operational infrastructure, particularly in growth-stage environments, and a strong background in financial oversight within a nonprofit or government-funded context. The role requires a leader with strong analytical and systems thinking capabilities, adept at identifying operational bottlenecks and driving data-informed improvements. While not mandatory, experience in workforce development, vocational training, or youth-serving nonprofit environments is preferred, as is familiarity with nonprofit financial structures and grant funding compliance. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are also a plus.
