About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their executive team and play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational growth of the business. The COO will be responsible for translating the CEO's vision into daily operations, overseeing core functions such as sales, rental, service, parts, logistics, and fleet management. This leadership position demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in heavy equipment, construction machinery, or industrial distribution environments, and a deep understanding of dealership operations, including rental fleets, depreciation strategies, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be tasked with driving operational excellence, implementing process improvements, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure profitability, efficiency, and sustainable growth. Key responsibilities for the COO include strategic leadership, operational excellence, process improvement, team leadership, operations management, data-driven decision-making, asset and inventory management, financial stewardship, and customer and vendor relations. The role requires a candidate with 10-15+ years of progressive leadership experience, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (MBA preferred), and a strong background in financial and operational analytics. The ideal COO will have exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, and a hands-on yet strategic leadership style. They will also be expected to support strategic growth initiatives, such as market expansion and OEM relationship management, and to build and maintain executive-level relationships with key stakeholders.
