Production Supervisor

Operations / Production Supervisor *2nd Shift* Specialty Metals Manufacturer Shift: Second 3PM – 12AM Reports to: Operations Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Overview Lead second-shift operations for final dimensioning, packaging, and shipping of bar, rod, and wire products. Oversee personnel, production scheduling, purchasing, freight, and loading while maintaining a safe, efficient, and quality-focused environment. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring strong floor presence and decision‑making ability during off‑shift operations. Key Responsibilities Enforce safety, environmental, and quality standards for all employees/contractors. Verify product meets customer specs; determine proper disposition. Plan and execute second‑shift production to meet delivery and quality goals. Maximize yield, control cost, and conduct Root Cause Analysis on process issues. Review shift reports; address maintenance or operational problems proactively. Train, coach, and evaluate team members; manage performance and attendance. Ensure all equipment and facilities are maintained in safe working condition. Qualifications High school diploma required; AS/BS in Engineering preferred. 5+ years of front‑line supervisory experience in manufacturing or heavy industry. Stainless steel or specialty alloys experience preferred. Hands‑on familiarity with forklifts, bandsaws, straighteners, and similar machinery. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
