Cardiovascular Key Account Manager, Central California
Amgen Inc
Amgen seeks a Cardiovascular Key Account Manager for Sacramento and San Jose territories. The role involves developing and executing strategic account plans, building relationships with healthcare system decision-makers, and driving utilization of cardiovascular products across inpatient and ambulatory settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned with cardiovascular business strategy
- Build relationships with key stakeholders including cardiologists, pharmacists, and P&T committees
- Lead institutional implementation initiatives to drive appropriate utilization of approved products
- Monitor account performance and market dynamics; identify barriers to access and utilization
- Coordinate cross-functional field teams and Amgen corporate resources to support product adoption
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years sales or account management experience
- Master's degree with 4+ years sales or related account management experience
- Doctorate degree with 2+ years sales or account management experience
- 3+ years account management and/or public payor experience strongly preferred
- Cardiology experience including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes
- Knowledge of hospital P&T processes, reimbursement, and CMS policies
- Understanding of healthcare system dynamics and community cardiology practice environment
