Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized therapy sessions either remotely or in person, depending on client needs.

• Provide targeted therapeutic interventions that include anger management, coping strategies, and social skills enhancement, focusing on reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and aggression.

• Engage actively with both clients and their families, improving decision-making capabilities to effectively manage behavioral challenges within the home environment.
\n
• Collaborate seamlessly with the Child Family Treatment Team and professionals from various disciplines to provide integrated support for our clients.
\n
• Ensure timely documentation of all treatment-related paperwork, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
\n
• Participate in monthly clinical meetings to discuss case progress, treatment strategies, and provide recommendations based on observed outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who are experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will have the opportunity to help young clients improve their emotional and social functioning in a supportive environment. By working collaboratively with families, you will play a critical role in guiding them through behavioral challenges, ultimately aiming to enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential.
\n
• Availability for at least 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically between 4-7 PM, with weekend availability being highly desirable.

• Strong communication skills and bilingualism in Spanish or Portuguese are highly valued, allowing us to reach and support a wider client base.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience providing positive behavioral supports to children and adolescents is essential.

• Previous work with children who have intellectual or developmental disabilities is a significant advantage.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for home visits.

• All candidates must pass a criminal background check which includes fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Competitive compensation ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflective of your experience and qualifications.
