Work Environment

At Family First Physical Therapy, you will work in a collaborative and supportive environment alongside a dedicated team comprised of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their goals, challenges, and requirements, developing personalized treatment plans that foster recovery.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, ensuring that each patient receives attentive and individualized care.
• Leverage your experience in orthopedic outpatient settings to administer effective and evidence-based interventions.
• Design and implement cost-effective treatment strategies that improve patients' range of motion, strength, and mobility, while minimizing the need for medications and surgical interventions.
• Create comprehensive care plans utilizing various treatment modalities and techniques to facilitate optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Develop and implement personalized fitness and wellness programs that account for each patient's unique circumstances and aspirations.
• Motivate and empower patients throughout their treatment journey, enhancing their performance in daily activities.
• Encourage healthy lifestyle choices by focusing on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate closely with a network of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes regularly and monitor progress, maintaining accountability through clear communication and documentation.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all patient interactions and treatment services provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with patients undergoing rehabilitation from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, as well as those experiencing musculoskeletal pain. Our patient population includes individuals from various backgrounds, including athletes, laborers, and active adults seeking to enhance their physical performance or recover from specific conditions. Your role will be vital in helping them regain independence and restore their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Possession of a valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• A clean professional record with no board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques with a strong focus on evidence-based practices.
• Expertise in developing and implementing customized exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient management.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting. Experience with sports rehabilitation or specialized treatment techniques for specific conditions is considered a valuable asset.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
