What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, documenting relevant observations, incidents, and patrol activities.
• Maintain a professional presence while following applicable laws, regulations, Allied Universal procedures, and site-specific requirements for armed posts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
