Business Unit Overview Blackstone is a global leader in real estate investing with US$315billion of investor capital under management. The Real Estate – Asset Management associate works within this business unit focusing on post‑acquisition transactions, value creation and portfolio management. Job Description Associates in Asset Management support the lifecycle of real estate investments from acquisition through disposition, including restructurings, recapitalizations, refinancing, dispositions, and value enhancement projects. They collaborate on deal teams, perform due diligence, construct financial models, manage communications with stakeholders, draft memoranda, and contribute to strategic planning. Responsibilities Real‑estate and public‑company valuation analysis Perform financial analyses to drive investment, financing, capital, and sale decisions Lead due diligence and execution of transactions Interface with market participants including deal counterparties, external advisors, and platform company leadership Attend site tours and assist with legal negotiations and due diligence Develop investment budgets, strategic plans, and present asset valuations Excel financial modeling, drafting of memoranda and presentations for internal and external use Conduct market research and data analysis Qualifications 2+ years of prior investment banking or real‑estate investment experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Team‑oriented with dynamic role flexibility Solid understanding of accounting, finance, and economics Self‑motivation to find solutions independently and humility to recognize limits Sincere commitment to professional development Excellent attention to detail and intellectual curiosity Good judgment Compensation and Benefits Expected annual base salary: $125,000–$160,000. Additional compensation includes discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, FSA, paid time off, life insurance, 401(k), and potential equity or incentive plans. Licensing Depending on the role, securities licenses may be required for client‑facing activities such as attending client meetings, marketing funds, supervising licensed employees, structuring funds, or developing marketing materials.
