Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a real difference in the lives of K-12 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract opportunity is located near Palatine, IL, and offers a collaborative environment serving students within a specialized education district. Your expertise and commitment will support students’ growth, participation, and confidence, working alongside educators and dedicated professionals to create inclusive, accessible learning experiences.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Illinois OT or COTA license required (be ready to provide documentation with your application)
• Experience delivering OT services within a school setting is preferred
• Ability to work with a diverse student population, including those with a range of special needs
• Comfortable adapting interventions for multiple grade levels (K-12)
• Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills
• Willingness to work onsite for all assigned hours

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in K-12 grades
• Assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans based on each student’s goals and needs in coordination with IEP teams
• Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to support students’ academic access and participation
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
• Participate in new hire orientation scheduled for August 12-14, ensuring a smooth transition into your role
• Contribute to a positive, solutions-focused school culture
