Speech Language Pathologist in Palatine, IL

Exciting opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists to make a meaningful impact in a supportive K-12 educational setting near Palatine, IL. This contract role is ideal for professionals passionate about assisting students in reaching their communication goals within a collaborative school community.


With multiple openings available for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, candidates will participate in new hire orientation from August 12th to 14th. SLPs will work full-time, 35 hours per week, in an onsite-only environment. Both experienced SLPs with CCCs and strong Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply.


Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license required (must submit a screenshot of current license).
• Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois is mandatory (must submit a screenshot of current PEL).
• Experience in K-12 school settings preferred; new graduates with strong skills are welcome.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with students and school teams.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders.
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, families, and school staff.
• Manage a diverse caseload (specific grades and numbers to be determined).
• Maintain comprehensive records and progress notes for each student.
• Participate in IEP meetings, provide parent/caregiver education, and consult with multidisciplinary teams.
• Uphold all ethical and professional standards as required by state, district, and licensure guidelines.
