This includes managing nonconforming materials across Schupan Aluminum & Plastic Sales facilities, maintaining and improving customer and supplier relationships, representing Quality to customers and suppliers, contributing to Material Review Board meetings, conducting internal and external audits, developing work instructions and inspection plans, supporting corrective actions and root cause investigations, and assessing product and process conformity to requirements.HOW YOU WILL DO ITPerform internal audits as scheduledAssist in the development and maintenance of the internal audit programAssist and/or participate in external audits performed by customers, independent certifying bodies, and third-party auditorsAssist and/or participate in the development and implementation of cost-saving measures and continuous improvement activitiesAssist and/or participate in the facilitation of corrective action activitiesDevelop, review, and/or improve QMS processes and documentsLead and/or assist in determining root cause(s) of nonconforming product and other process failuresControl the revision of part prints through electronic repository, as requiredPerform and document inspections of products and materials according to prescribed inspection plans as neededControl, organize, and facilitate disposition, sorting, and rework activities of nonconforming materialsFollow and comply with QMS documented processes and proceduresDevelop and propose work instructions and inspection documentsUtilize ERP system to transact material and/or create labels for inventory stock, nonconforming hold, and/or to prepare material for shipmentUtilize ERP system to record labor tickets as needed: counts of complete and deviated material and time spent on operationsMaintain a clean and organized work areaConsistently follow safety policies, procedures, and practices, including wearing proper ear and eye protection at all times on the manufacturing floorMaintain regular and predictable attendancePerform other related duties as assignedWHAT WE NEED FROM YOUBasic requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required3+ years of experience in manufacturing and quality roles, or equivalent combination of education and experienceCurrent Driver's LicenseTechnical school, applicable degree, or equivalent experience (preferred)Certified Internal Auditor (preferred)Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) (preferred)Ability to read and interpret blueprintsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulationsAbility to synthesize complex or diverse information, collect and research data, and use intuition and experience to complement dataAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferenceAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, suppliers, and the general publicKnowledge of accounting, databases, and internet software, order processing systems, and Microsoft OfficePhysical requirements:Ability to read computer screens, documents, and other written materialSome prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerOccasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and seldom lift and/or move more than 50 poundsOccasionally performs repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, and pullingRoutinely required to stand and walk; use hands to handle and feel; reach with arms and hands; as well as climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlSpecific vision requirements include depth perception and the ability to adjust focusAbility to work in a non-temperature-controlled environmentOccasionally exposed to moving and mechanical parts and risk of electrical shockRoutinely work in a noisy environmentOccasionally work in an environment with gas-powered and other forklifts and machineryOccasional travel may be required to other company sites, suppliers, and/or customersWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM USCompetitive pay, plus monthly safety and attendance bonus, and discretionary monthly gas bonus and end of year bonusSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PMWeekly pay16 days of PTO in your first year401(k) with match starting Day 1Medical, dental, and vision coverage effective the 1st of the month after hireHSA with company contribution up to $1500, FSA, and wellness premium discountCompany-paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, pet insurance, parental leave, and tuition reimbursementThis job description describes the general nature and level of work expected.
