Accounts Receivable Specialist Reports to the Director of Accounting Operations Position Overview The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work closely with the Accounting team, reporting directly to the Director of Accounting Operations. The individual will be responsible for performing collections, resolving client A/R issues, reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and generating invoices. Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To Maintain up-to-date billing system Follow up, collection and allocation of payments Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines Reconciliation of accounts Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities Maintain accounts receivable customer files Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc. Prepare bank deposits Investigate and resolve customer queries Process adjustments Organizing a recovery system and initiate collection efforts Communicating with customers via phone, email, mail or personally Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or any related field is preferred Minimum of 3-5 years Accounts Receivable experience if required Experience using Yardi and Avid property management software is preferred Knowledge of office administration and procedures Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures Heavy data entry experience is a plus Proficient with MS Office Suite programs; specifically, Outlook, Excel, Word Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401K Matching Program 10 Paid Holidays (may vary between properties) 17 PTO Days Advancement Opportunity And more...
