Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst Job Location: Tallahassee, FL (On-Site) Job Type: Contract (Thru 6/30/27) We are seeking an experiencedBusiness Analyst to support a majorTechnology Transformation initiativeand other operational/strategic IT projects. This role will focus on deliveringMicrosoft Dynamics 365 Case Managementsolutions and relatedPower Platformcapabilities usingAgile Feature-Driven Design (FDD)andScrum. You will partner closely with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams toelicit and document requirements, convert needs intouser stories and acceptance criteria, manage traceability inAzure DevOps, and supporttesting and rolloutactivities. Key Responsibilities Elicit, analyze, and documentbusiness and functional requirementsfor software delivery initiatives. Facilitate stakeholderworkshops, interviews, and working sessionsto validate needs and confirm solution scope. Translate requirements into well-structureduser stories,acceptance criteria, and backlog items; maintain end-to-endtraceability in Azure DevOps(or equivalent tooling). Model processes and workflows usingUML, BPMN, and process flow diagramsto clarify current vs. future state and drive process improvements. Conductgap analysis,impact assessments, and identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve outcomes. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are actionable, understood, and aligned with project objectives. Support QA and testing efforts, including creation ofUAT plans,UAT test cases, coordination ofUAT execution, and validation of outcomes. Provide guidance on business analysis best practices, documentation standards, and continuous improvement. Support change management activities (training support, communications, adoption planning) as needed. Coach/mentor team members and contribute to building repeatable analysis and documentation practices. Attend project ceremonies and provide regular progress/status updates. Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications) 5+ yearsof experience as aBusiness Analyston technology projects. Experience as anIT Business Analystsupportingsoftware developmentinitiatives. Strong capability to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements aligned to strategic goals. Proficiency withrequirements elicitation, writinguser stories, and definingacceptance criteria. Hands-on experience usingAzure DevOps(preferred) orGitHub(or similar) for backlog management and tracking. Experience developing and executingUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)test cases. Strong knowledge ofAgile methodologies, includingScrumandFeature-Driven Design (FDD). Excellentwritten and verbal communicationskills; able to work effectively across business and technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications Advanced experience inbusiness process modelingandprocess improvement. Experience with Microsoft business application platforms such asDynamics 365,Power Platform, or comparable solutions. Demonstrated success leading cross-functional collaboration onlarge-scale / complexinitiatives. Strongdata analysisskills and familiarity with analysis techniques/tools. Experience withcloud computingconcepts andenterprise architecture. Prior experience in agovernment or public sectorenvironment. Experience with BI tools such asPower BIorTableauto support reporting/insight needs. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive consensus and clarity. Education / Certifications (Preferred) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inComputer Science,Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience), and/or Relevant certifications such asCSM,PMP,CBAP, orPMI-PBA.
