Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews that document clients' histories and treatment needs.

• Collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific mental, behavioral, and emotional health issues of clients.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to engage and support clients effectively.

• Monitor clients’ progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Actively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure cohesive client care.

• Provide timely follow-ups with hospital staff for clients experiencing acute needs or those who have been formally admitted.
\n
• Proactively identify obstacles to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing their loved ones' mental health challenges through psychoeducation and counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base is equally diverse, ranging from children and adolescents to adults and seniors, each presenting unique challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance abuse. As a counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals and groups from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, enhancing your professional expertise while promoting inclusivity and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to articulate complex concepts clearly.

• Proficient in maintaining electronic health records, preferably familiar with systems such as AVATAR.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mental health counselor, with a comprehensive understanding of various therapeutic approaches.

• Experience dealing with co-occurring disorders and understanding the impact of physical health conditions on mental well-being.

• Knowledge and familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Ability to foster strong therapeutic relationships through exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach.

Compensation and Benefits\n
