Fund Accountant

Job Description
A growing private investment platform is looking to add a Fund Accountant to its expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–3 years of fund accounting experience who wants broad exposure to fund operations, investor reporting, and investment activity within a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
\n \nReporting directly to senior finance leadership, you’ll have hands-on responsibility across a portfolio of alternative investment vehicles and work closely with finance leadership, investors, fund administrators, auditors, and other external service providers.
\n \nWhat You’ll Do:
\n• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual fund close processes
\n• Maintain fund-level accounting records, general ledgers, and supporting schedules
\n• Prepare capital call and distribution calculations
\n• Assist with investor reporting and financial statement preparation
\n• Reconcile investment activity, capital accounts, and fund cash movements
\n• Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and tax providers
\n• Track portfolio activity and support investment accounting
\n• Prepare audit and regulatory reporting support
\n• Identify opportunities to improve processes and fund operations
\n• Support ad hoc reporting and analysis for management
\n \nWhat We’re Looking For:
\n• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
\n• 2–3 years of fund accounting experience
\n• Background in private equity, venture capital, private credit, hedge funds, or other alternative investments
\n• Understanding of closed-end fund structures and capital activity
\n• Strong understanding of fund accounting and investor allocations
\n• Advanced Excel skills
\n• Experience working with fund administrators and external auditors
\n• CPA or CPA-track preferred
\n• Experience with fund accounting or investor reporting systems is a plus
\n• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
