Sales Training Manager

The sales training manager will support the sales manager in leading the sales team and ultimately increasing branch bookings by improving the effectiveness of individual sales representatives and the team. Responsibilities include coaching and training focused on sales process skills, product knowledge, installation and industry knowledge. Primary Responsibilities Develop and implement new hire training for sales representatives to ensure timely and effective performance. Conduct a minimum of three ride‑along visits per week with new and underperforming sales reps, using observation and in‑home demonstration, and debrief with reps to provide performance feedback. Analyze individual and team sales metrics to identify training focus areas and deliver targeted training to improve close rate, RPA, first‑time close, use of FFA, quoting accuracy, installation knowledge and financing. Manage non‑rep assigned follow‑up appointments to maximize sales potential. Partner with sales managers to determine daily lead allocation. Collaborate with product knowledge experts to develop and deliver product and installation training. Work with installation manager, internal operations manager and technicians to identify and improve back‑office sales processes and paperwork. Develop and implement sales contests and training topics for weekly sales meetings. Support sourcing, recruiting and selection of sales representatives. Assist sales reps in resolving post‑tech‑measure process inquiries. Collaborate with Retail Development Sales Manager on CORO‑wide sales initiatives. Direction of Others Sales Admin Coordinator – coaching and training sales representatives. Qualifications and Skills Four‑year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Sales management experience – a plus. Valid driver’s license with acceptable accident and moving violation record. Five or more years of in‑home sales experience. Computer skills and management of computer‑based information. Planning and goal‑setting skills. Strong communication skills. Financial knowledge. Decision‑making ability. Customer orientation. Tolerance of ambiguity. Results orientation. Training/Coaching skills. Ability to provide performance feedback. Ability to energize others.
