Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing a mix of standardized assessments and observational techniques.
- Craft individualized treatment plans that prioritize both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions to enhance communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, working with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to implement unified care strategies.
- Empower patients and families through education to support progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring uninterrupted care throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain punctual and precise documentation in adherence to state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in your field through ongoing education and peer collaboration.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.
- Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups, along with a nuanced understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to tailor therapy techniques to honor diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
