Speech Language Pathologist SLP Specialist
Ignite the Power of Communication in the Flourishing Heart of Kansas – Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us!
What if your next career journey could transform lives and give voice to purpose in the most profound way? As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Kansas's most vibrant communities, you will do far more than tackle communication and swallowing disorders. You will help unlock potential, restore confidence, and foster human connection—working with everyone from eager toddlers finding their first words to seniors reclaiming their independence in speech and life.
This role presents an exceptional opportunity to serve individuals across all life stages, in a setting that beautifully marries outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in pediatric language development, addressing adult neurogenic communication issues, or guiding geriatric cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will find both satisfaction and flexibility in this role.
Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized evaluations and observational methods.
Create tailored treatment plans targeting short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Deliver one-on-one speech therapy focused on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop cohesive strategies for care.
Provide education for patients and families, ensuring continued progress outside clinical sessions.
Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when required, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
Maintain precise and timely documentation complying with state, federal, and organizational standards.
Remain updated with the latest advancements in the field via continuing education and teamwork.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all ages, with a robust grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary care groups.
Ability to tailor therapy approaches to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgement paired with critical problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation protocols.
Attractive compensation reflective of experience.
Flexible scheduling that promotes work-life balance alongside varied patient caseloads.
Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, adult neurological rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages.
Support for continuing education and professional development.
A collaborative work environment centered on quality care and lifelong learning.
In this position, your contributions won't stop at delivering speech therapy; you will engage in a community-driven mission to rejuvenate voices, strengthen communication, and inspire joy through the simplest human exchanges: the power of understanding and being understood.
You'll collaborate with a compassionate team that treats one another like family, fostering an environment that believes in cooperation over competition. Each patient comes with a unique narrative; we trust you to shape how their story unfolds.
The rhythm of life in this vibrant part of Kansas blends spirited innovation with traditional hospitality. Nestled amid picturesque landscapes and rich cultural scenes, this area is a sanctuary for those seeking a balance of zest for life, culture, and opportunity.
Families gather for community events under the oak canopies, while outdoor enthusiasts enjoy hiking, biking, and exploring local parks and museums. Food lovers will delight in everything from quaint diners dishing out comfort food to vibrant markets showcasing locally made products.
The region pulsates with creativity, seen in vibrant murals, heard in local music venues, and experienced in every annual festival uniting diverse communities. For professionals, the appeal extends beyond the lifestyle; with no state income tax, a manageable cost of living, and a flourishing healthcare sector, this locale is a fertile ground for careers to flourish.
No matter if you're a fresh graduate or an experienced clinician wishing to grow, you'll discover ample opportunities to thrive here — both personally and professionally.
We seek a passionate Speech Language Pathologist who is motivated not just by outcomes, but by empathy. You are the person who imagines the voice of a shy child blossoming into self-expression, who hears the hesitant words of a stroke survivor replete with determination.
You could be a pediatric specialist eager to branch into adult care — or a clinician focusing on neurological recovery ready to explore early childhood intervention.
Regardless of your interests, if you are ready to serve wholeheartedly and lead expertly, we're eager to welcome you to our team.
If you understand that speech transcends mere sound, and therapy surpasses just tasks — if you believe in fostering trust prior to chasing goals, and laughter as pivotal as language — then your next adventure might just begin here.
Join us in a community that values communication, connection, and the courage it takes to begin anew. Apply now to lend your voice to our team—and help others discover theirs.
