The ideal candidate will have accounting and reporting knowledge of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial transactions within P&C insurance companies, as well as be familiar with statutory accounting and NAIC schedules. The senior accountant will play an important role in statutory filing and financial data. Responsibilities Execute general-ledger bank account reconciliations, accurate reporting, and data verification. Reconcile alternative fund accounts. Reconcile investment and cash report from Clearwater. Assist the investment accounting manager with various quarterly and annual statements and reports. Process invoices/bills related to investment and submit them to AP for payment. Assist with quarterly statutory filings and GAAP submission. Prepare various statutory financial reports requested by states or the legal department. Support quarterly and year-end financial closes, including generating/posting journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational accounts. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or finance.
