Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and impact of mood disorder symptoms on clients' daily lives.

• Create personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring alignment with their individual goals, values, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to assist clients in managing their symptoms effectively.

• Facilitate psychoeducation sessions for clients and their families, discussing mood disorders, treatment options, and strategies for self-care.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs and challenges.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in mood disorder research and integrate new findings into treatment approaches.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work as an LMFT will primarily involve supporting individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist diverse groups, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, helping them navigate their emotional challenges and fostering resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
