Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the specific needs and challenges of each child and adolescent.

• Collaboratively develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the developmental stages and family dynamics of the patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to effectively address a range of mental health issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to guide parents and caregivers in creating supportive home environments that promote healing.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to families during mental health emergencies, utilizing problem-solving and de-escalation techniques.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment pathways, and available community resources to empower them in their healthcare journey.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents dealing with a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Our approach emphasizes family involvement and the importance of creating a supportive network around the young patients, offering them the best chance for recovery and development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, evidence-based therapeutic modalities, and treatment strategies.

• Experience in providing both individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, child-centered approach.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
