Location Santa Monica, CA Opportunity Advanced Practice - Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Job Details Locum Tenens Physician Assistant opportunity providing bench coverage for ongoing cardiothoracic surgery needs Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM in an integrated clinic/hospital setting Clinic is located inside the hospital, allowing OR assist, rounding, and clinic responsibilities to be performed within a single day Call schedule is 1:2, splitting call 50/50 with one other PA Weekday call runs from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning during call rotation Weekend call runs from 3:00 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday during weekend rotation Call-back frequency is approximately 1-2 times per month Guaranteed 8 hours per day with overtime applicable after 8 hours 5-8 patient encounters per shift Must be able to perform radial and endoscopic vein harvesting Must be able to interpret EKGs, X-rays, and labs Must have experience with ECMO, IABP, and Impella OR assist responsibilities required ICU and step-down patient management required Active California license and California DEA are required Board certification required; ACLS and BLS certifications required 3-5 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience highly preferred Credentialing timeframe is approximately 60-90 days Start date September 14, 2026, with ongoing coverage needs Compensation Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. #J-18808-Ljbffr BAS HealthCare
