Commercial HVAC Account Executive

Pacific Air HVAC is looking for a driven, relationship first Commercial HVAC Account Executive to grow our presence with general contractors, developers, and property managers across New Jersey and parts of New York and Connecticut. As we grow our commercial division, we're looking for someone who can help us build and deepen relationships with general contractors and developers throughout New Jersey. A Day in the Life As our Commercial HVAC Account Executive, your day starts with identifying and connecting with general contractors, developers, and property managers who have upcoming or active projects. You're comfortable picking up the phone, showing up in person, and following up persistently, because you know that winning commercial work is about relationships built over time, not one off pitches. You bring HVAC knowledge to every conversation, understanding project scope, budgets, and timelines well enough to speak credibly with GCs and project managers. You track down bid opportunities, submit prequalification packages, and represent our company at walkthroughs and pre bid meetings. Once a relationship turns into a project, you coordinate closely with our estimating and operations teams to ensure what's promised gets delivered. You measure your day by the relationships strengthened and the pipeline built, not just the deals closed. What You'll Do Identify, prospect, and build relationships with general contractors, developers, property managers, and construction firms with upcoming HVAC scope. Research active and upcoming commercial construction projects in our target markets and proactively reach out to decision makers. Submit and manage prequalification packages, RFPs, and bid opportunities. Represent Pacific Air HVAC at project walkthroughs, pre bid meetings, and industry networking events. Work closely with our estimating team to develop competitive, accurate commercial proposals. Maintain and grow a pipeline of GC and developer relationships in CRM, with consistent follow up and account management. Serve as a trusted point of contact for construction partners throughout project lifecycles. Stay current on commercial HVAC systems, codes, and industry trends to speak knowledgeably with GCs and engineers. What We're Looking For Prior experience in HVAC sales, estimating, project management, or a related mechanical/construction trade is a major plus. Comfort and confidence engaging with general contractors, developers, and construction decision makers. A relationship first, consultative sales approach, you're building a book of business, not chasing single transactions. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical HVAC details into terms GCs and PMs care about (schedule, cost, reliability). Self motivated, persistent, and comfortable with a long sales cycle typical of commercial construction bidding. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Experience Background in commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, or construction sales. Existing relationships with New Jersey general contractors, developers, or property management firms. Experience with prequalification processes, RFPs, and competitive commercial bidding. Compensation Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission.
