Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, enhancing mobility, and restoring functional independence.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients using diagnostic tools to assess their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in executing treatment protocols while ensuring compliance with the established care plans.
• Administer therapeutic techniques such as manual physical therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities including traction and massage.
• Evaluate the home environment for rehabilitation potential, providing recommendations to improve patient independence.
• Document patient progress meticulously, preparing clinical records including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Engage in regular communication with healthcare teams during interdisciplinary case conferences.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding therapy goals and safe usage of therapeutic devices.
• Ensure timely submission of clinical documentation as per clinic policies.
• Actively participate in the review and adjustment of care plans during ongoing treatment discussions.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements pertinent to physical therapy practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse patient population that may include individuals recovering from surgeries, sports-related injuries, chronic pain conditions, neurological disorders, and age-related physical challenges. As such, a strong emphasis on personalized care is critical to effectively meet the varied needs and goals of each patient.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• Valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Current CPR certification.
• A commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, and compassionate patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, applicants with at least one year of experience in a physical therapy practice, preferably within acute care or home care settings, will be given preference. Familiarity with contemporary therapy techniques and technology will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to USD 100,000.
