Accounting Manager

Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 + 15% Bonus Location: Irvine, CA 92618 (Onsite) Company Description: Our client, a multi-billion-dollar distribution company, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their growing team following a recent acquisition. This role will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and will lead a team of accounting professionals, initially focused on technical accounting support before transitioning into a broader general ledger leadership role. This position offers a unique blend of technical accounting exposure and team leadership within a fast-paced, acquisition-driven organization. The ideal candidate must have public accounting experience and strong knowledge of SOX controls. High-growth, acquisition-driven organization Blended exposure to technical accounting and GL leadership Newly created role with strong visibility to senior leadership Cross-functional team environment Responsibilities: Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly and annual close process Assist with technical accounting research and documentation to support corporate reporting requirements Maintain and strengthen SOX-compliant internal controls across the accounting function Ensure the close process is completed accurately and on schedule Supervise, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals, including workload distribution, priority-setting, and performance evaluations Support hiring, promotion, and personnel decisions for the accounting team Partner with internal and external auditors, preparing schedules and responding to inquiries as needed Identify and lead process and systems improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Collaborate with cross-functional business leaders to resolve accounting-related issues Contribute to broader accounting and corporate initiatives as needed Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred 4+ years of Public accounting experience required Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX internal controls Experience within a mid- to large-size organization a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr Conexus
