Part-Time Administrative Legal Assistant
Hutchings Barsamian Mandelcorn, LLP is a boutique law office based in Wellesley, Massachusetts and is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Legal Assistant to support the daily operations of the firm. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative, small office environment. The role involves providing administrative and legal support while maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and office staff
- Draft, proofread, and format correspondence, documents, and basic legal materials
- Manage Outlook Calendar coordination, and client communications in a professional manner via email and phone
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and maintain attorney calendars
- Organize and maintain physical and digital client files
- Assist with document preparation and filing
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Support day-to-day office operations and other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Prior experience working in a legal office or demonstrated interest in working in a small office environment preferred
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Positive attitude and collaborative approach; easy to work with in a small team setting
- Proficiency with basic office software (Microsoft Office, email, document management systems, billing software)
Compensation & Schedule
- Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications
- Part-time position with flexible hours (exact schedule to be determined). Between 18-25 hours/weekly. Opportunity for increased hours and compensation over time based on performance and the needs of the firm
