Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting on a 26-bed MS/Tele unit
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:4-6, average daily census of 8
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Uses Cerner for charting

Requirements

• Active IL RN license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Experience with both adult and geriatric patients required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac telemetry monitoring and manage cardiac drips without titration
• Care for patients with CVA, seizure disorders, renal failure, and cardiac conditions such as pacemakers and post-MI
• Perform wound care, ostomy/feeding tube management, and manage central and peripheral lines
• Respond to Rapid Response and Code team activations as needed
• Any scrub color permitted, but t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other organization logos are not allowed
• RTO must be discussed directly with the manager during the interview
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Located less than 1 hour from St. Louis and about 45 minutes from Scott Air Force Base
