Rental Yard Coordinator

Job Summary The Yard Coordinator for the Rental Division oversees daily yard operations, ensuring safe and efficient handling of rental equipment and materials. The role coordinates with logistics, maintenance, and operations teams to maintain a clean, organized yard and a reliable rental fleet. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory records for rental equipment. Operate and supervise heavy machinery, forklifts, and loaders during rental operations. Collaborate with logistics, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of rental equipment. Assist customers with rental inquiries, check‑out, and returns, ensuring high customer satisfaction. Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe working environment. Document equipment, materials, and yard activities, keeping detailed logs for rental transactions. Keep the yard clean, organized, and free of hazards, paying special attention to the rental equipment area. Perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions, including loading, unloading, repair, and maintenance activities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment safely. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. Experience in customer service, particularly in a rental or sales environment, is highly desirable. Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years in a similar yard or maintenance role. Experience in construction, industrial, or military settings. What We Offer Competitive salary. Physical Requirements In addition to sitting, standing, walking, reading, talking, writing, and hearing, the role requires occasional lifting or moving of up to 75 pounds.
