Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our rapidly growing outpatient office in Perth Amboy, NJ. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, all within a supportive and collaborative culture that encourages professional growth and community involvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with orthopedic issues, identifying functional limitations and disabilities.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on specific patient evaluations, educational needs, and therapeutic goals.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families throughout the treatment process, promoting effective self-management strategies.
• Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary to meet patient goals.
• Effectively communicate with other healthcare professionals regarding a patient's continuity of care, ensuring a cohesive approach to treatment.
• Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness of physical therapy services offered and promote healthy living.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as best practice standards.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, including physical therapist assistants and aides, in delivering quality care.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in physical therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation through ongoing education and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Ascove Injury Prevention Rehab Center, you'll primarily work with adult patients who are recovering from various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. By providing personalized care tailored to each individual's unique needs, you will significantly contribute to their recovery journey and enhance their ability to return to daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current, valid state licensure to practice as a physical therapist in New Jersey.
• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic documentation and familiarity with practice management systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with patients and team members.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patients while adhering to departmental productivity standards.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with manual therapy techniques and evidence-based practice methods related to orthopedics.
• Experience with patient education and community outreach initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually , commensurate with experience.
