Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - Tristar Division.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: IV starts. NGT placement. Wound care. Cardiac rhythms.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Cardiac rhythm interpretation.

Special Requests: Any special scheduling requests must be made with manager upon arrival at facility.

Unit Details: 2-3 techs per shift, with clinical coordinator, charge nurse, manager, and director support. Uses wound vacs, heparin gtt, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanner, feeding pump, and telemetry. Procedures performed on unit: lab draws/IV starts.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Floating Requirements: Will float between 2 North and 2 West.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

10 days maximum time off
