Conduct criminal investigations of felony violations of State and Federal law relating to insurance fraud and white‑collar crime. Investigators may work alone, with a team, or as a lead criminal investigator assigned to conduct investigations of criminal enterprises and profiteering and assist in the prosecution of cases involving these groups in State and Federal courts. Execute all duties and responsibilities of a peace officer in accordance with the California Penal Code, Section 830.3. Produce clear and concise correspondence and investigative reports. Special Requirements Background Investigation clearance prior to hiring. Medical clearance prior to hiring. Psychological evaluation clearance prior to hiring. Qualifications Recent experience in State service as a peace officer investigating auto, workers’ compensation, property and casualty insurance fraud. Completion of Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) requirements, or proof of prior POST completion through an academy.
