About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening/Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Driver's license required for submission Description: Candidates must adhere to a radius rule of 50 miles. Candidates may not hold full-time, part-time, or PRN positions with any associated facilities. Registered Nurses are required to pass an exam during orientation. The exam will be open book, and candidates will receive all necessary resources to pass. A score of 90% is required to pass, or candidates will be terminated. A fingernail policy prohibits artificial nails in all departments providing patient care. Refusal to adhere to this policy may result in termination of the contract. Shifts available are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., 1 p.m. to 1 a.m., 3 p.m. to 3 a.m., and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Weekend requirements include working every third weekend. Self-scheduling is allowed, but no shifts are guaranteed until the schedule is final. Registered Nurses will be supported by aides, EMTs, and paramedics. Phlebotomy services are available, and they will draw labs. Rotating holiday requirements apply. No floating is required. Additional time off must be submitted upfront, and subsequent requests will not be approved. The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. The charting system utilized is EPIC. A BSN is not required for this position. This role is set in an acute care setting with a trauma level of 2.
