Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Arlington, VA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a technology-focused corporate location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or public emergency services when appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout office buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may need attention. Monitor access points, visitor activity, and badge or credential processes in accordance with site rules, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues. Document incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities in required reports, logs, and/or digital systems while following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
