Sous Chef

Lola’s on the Water is seeking a talented Sous Chef, with a specialty in Italian cuisine, who has a true passion for culinary creativity, exceptional food presentation, and attention to detail.

We’re looking for someone who believes every plate should leave the kitchen looking as impressive as it tastes. If you take pride in thoughtful presentation, consistency, and creating memorable dining experiences, we’d love to meet you.

This role is hands-on and goes beyond the line. The ideal candidate will have experience with purchasing, inventory management, vendor relationships, food cost control, and maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout the kitchen.

Responsibilities

● Execute and oversee beautifully plated, consistently prepared dishes.

● Assist with menu development and daily culinary features.

● Manage purchasing, inventory, receiving, and vendor relationships.

● Monitor food costs, product quality, and kitchen organization.

● Lead, train, and motivate the culinary team.

● Maintain exceptional cleanliness, sanitation, and operational standards.

● Work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

Qualifications

● Several years of Sous Chef experience in an upscale, chef-driven restaurant, boutique hotel, or fine dining environment.

● Strong knowledge of purchasing, inventory, and food cost management.

● A creative eye for plating and presentation with meticulous attention to detail.

● Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-expectation kitchen.

● Passion for quality, consistency, and hospitality.
