Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each client's unique history and identify appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's recovery goals, focusing on resilience-building techniques.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to explore their trauma and develop coping strategies.

• Collaborating effectively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and integrated treatment approaches for clients.

• Providing timely crisis intervention support and therapeutic guidance during emergencies related to trauma.

• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, and connecting them with relevant resources.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential records in alignment with legal and ethical standards to uphold the integrity of patient information.

• Participating in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance collaborative therapeutic practices.

• Staying current with the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients who have experienced varying levels of trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma experiences, and various dissociative disorders. Your expertise will play a vital role in guiding these individuals toward recovery through trauma-informed interventions.

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid professional license in the state of Georgia as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates who have at least two years of post-licensure clinical experience, especially those who have worked with trauma-focused therapy techniques. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous, as is prior experience in delivering telehealth services.

Compensation and Benefits\n
