Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, which allows for a flexible work-life balance. As part of a forward-thinking telehealth facility, you will utilize advanced technology to connect with patients and conduct assessments and therapy sessions from the comfort of your own location. The schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate patients' trauma histories and establish effective treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans designed to foster trauma recovery and enhance resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process trauma, learn coping mechanisms, and promote healing in a supportive environment.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, offering essential resources and guidance.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources that can assist in their healing process.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards while using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and emerging best practices in trauma-focused therapy to enhance the effectiveness of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve individuals affected by trauma, including those with PTSD and complex trauma. You will support a diverse patient population, providing them with the tools and resources they need to navigate their challenges and promote healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Proficiency with EHR systems and other relevant computer applications.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

Two years of experience in the mental health field, particularly in providing care for trauma survivors, is highly desirable. An understanding of various therapeutic techniques and familiarity with evidence-based practices are also beneficial.
