Wieland is hiring a Business Applications Developer . This position will design develop test and maintain secure scalable business applications that support operational and administrative processes. This role works with business users architects and IT teams to deliver application enhancements integrations automation reporting and modernization solutions. This role is located in Granite City and is open to both onsite and hybrid candidates.

Base Salary Range: $76000 - $86000/year

May be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based upon company performance within fiscal year cycle.

Responsibilities

Business Applications Developer Responsibilities:

• Design develop test deploy and maintain custom business applications web applications reports and software enhancements.
  
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective solutions.
  
• Develop and maintain APIs system integrations database-driven applications SQL queries stored procedures reports and data interfaces.
  
• Troubleshoot software defects performance issues and support requests; perform root-cause analysis and implement tested corrections.
  
• Write secure efficient readable and maintainable code that follows established development and architecture standards.
  
• Follow source-control code-review testing documentation security deployment and release-management practices.
  
• Participate in application implementations upgrades migrations deployments and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  
• Maintain technical documentation and identify opportunities to automate processes and improve reliability usability and efficiency.

Business Applications Developer Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Software Engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
  

• Three or more years of professional software-development or application-development experience preferred.
  

• Proficiency in C# .NET JavaScript SQL Server and modern web-development technologies.
  

• Experience developing APIs system integrations database-driven applications SQL queries and stored procedures.
  

• Knowledge of Git software-development lifecycle practices application testing deployment and release management.
  

• Strong analytical troubleshooting communication and collaboration skills; experience supporting ERP manufacturing supply-chain logistics or other enterprise business systems preferred
