Payroll Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $130,000 to $140,000 per year. Job Responsibilities Manage end to end payroll operations and ensure employees are paid accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable regulations. Oversee payroll reporting requirements, including certified payroll, union reporting, tax filings, and year end processing activities. Review payroll data, labor allocations, job costing details, and account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and compliance. Coordinate with operations, accounting, auditors, and other stakeholders to address payroll related matters and reporting needs. Lead and develop payroll team members while establishing priorities and ensuring critical deadlines are met. Requirements A Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of payroll management experience with responsibility for high volume payroll processing. Previous experience administering certified payroll and union payroll within a regulated business environment. Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, compliance requirements, and payroll reporting procedures. Advanced proficiency with payroll systems, Microsoft Excel, and related workforce management tools. Qualifications Prior experience with construction, contracting, or project based business environments. Strong understanding of labor costing, workforce reporting, and payroll compliance requirements. Proven leadership skills with experience supervising, mentoring, and developing payroll staff. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
