Position Overview Site: Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center Brighton, Inc. We are offering a $750 sign‑on bonus for the Patient Care Assistant (PCA) role, which will be discussed during the interview process. The PCA role provides direct, hands‑on support to patients as they regain independence and meet recovery goals. You will work under the direction of licensed personnel and assist with activities of daily living, vital sign monitoring, documentation, and patient hygiene. This position is on‑site at 100 North Beacon Street. Responsibilities Assist patients with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Help patients turn, reposition, and move between bed and wheelchair. Take vital signs—including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration—and record them accurately within established time frames. Record intakes, outputs, weights, and heights in the medical record. Document all patient care activities as required. Interact effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Listen for health concerns, report them promptly to nursing staff. Qualifications Education – High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Licenses & Credentials – Certified Patient Care Technician (Nursing Assistant) with NCCT certification required. Experience – 1–2 years of patient care or medical assisting in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Empathetic, patient‑centered care with respect for dignity and privacy. Accurate monitoring, documentation, and prompt reporting of patient condition changes. Excellent interpersonal skills for communication with patients, families, and staff. Physical stamina for lifting, moving patients, and standing for extended periods. Collaborative mindset to work efficiently with nursing staff and other professionals. Resourceful and proactive in responding to patient needs.
