Work You’ll Do As a Transportation Strategy & Transformation Consultant on the Supply Chain & Network Operations team, you will be responsible for: Lead a team of transportation analysts supporting Transportation Directorate governance, programs, and recurring operational prioritiesOversee quality of delivery and identify and manage risks affecting client service and team executionDevelop recommendations and draft updates for transportation policies, directives, and regulationsManage policy exception requests, Defense Travel Regulation changes, and domicile-to-duty approval activitiesConduct research, analysis, reporting, and category management activities to support decision-making, process improvement, and cost reduction A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a teamEffective written and verbal communication skillsMeticulous attention to detail and quality of work productAbility to build and sustain professional relationshipsAbility to lead projects or workstreamsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentStrong interpersonal skills and professional demeanorAbility to meet deadlinesAbility to provide clear guidance to others The team Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice brings together people, ideas, technology, and outcomes designed for impact. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degreeMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureActive Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance5+ years of experience supporting Department of Defense transportation, logistics, or mobility operations3+ years of experience applying Department of Defense transportation policies, directives, and regulations, including the Defense Transportation Regulation3+ years of experience supporting airlift operations2+ years of experience working with the United States Maritime Administration, Military Sealift Command, and/or Transportation Command operationsAbility to work on-site in Alexandria up to 5 days a week Preferred: Experience supporting charter, commercial, and organic sealift requirementsExperience with the Jones Act and cargo preference requirements related to sealiftExperience with Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement, Voluntary Tanker Agreement, Transportation Service Provider, and Maritime Security Program activitiesExperience supporting working groups or transportation system oversight effortsExperience developing reports, metrics, and recommendations for senior-level stakeholders For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Virginia, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,600 to $147,600. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
