Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to understand client needs from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for various demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for sharing and healing.

• Monitor client progress diligently throughout treatment, making adjustments to plans as necessary based on feedback and clinical observations.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, doctors, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Follow up with psychiatric professionals for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring a coherent and continuous care experience.

• Identify and address behaviors that inhibit recovery, implementing proactive measures to facilitate successful therapy outcomes.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges, enhancing family dynamics and overall client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In your role, you will engage with a broad patient population that includes adolescents, adults, and families—all facing a spectrum of mental health challenges. You will be instrumental in addressing various conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relational issues. Your expertise will directly influence the well-being and recovery of each client, making your role crucial for fostering positive mental health within the community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working as a Mental Health Counselor, with demonstrated success in providing assessments, therapy, and ongoing client support.

• Experience in managing complex cases involving underlying physical and emotional health conditions as well as addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth understanding of the impact of medications prescribed by medical professionals on mental health.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with superior interpersonal capabilities that foster trust and rapport.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, complemented by a generous sign-on bonus.
