This position is a remote opportunity, offering you the flexibility to work from your own home while staying connected with our interdisciplinary team dedicated to the mental well-being of seniors. Regular office hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for seniors to identify their specific care needs and emotional issues, including depression, anxiety, and grief.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions and group counseling, helping seniors process their feelings regarding aging, loss, and other life transitions.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop well-rounded care plans tailored to each client's unique situation and preferences.

• Provide education to families and caregivers on how to support elderly loved ones in improving their emotional health and overall quality of life.

• Deliver specialized grief and loss counseling to help clients and their families navigate end-of-life issues with sensitivity and compassion.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on senior clients, a demographic that presents distinctive mental health challenges fueled by issues such as bereavement, chronic illness, loneliness, and the psychological impact of aging. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in New York State.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 105,000 annually, reflective of your expertise and experience in the field of mental health.
