Requirements & Preferred Background:

• Valid Special Education Educator Certification and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card—both are essential.
• Strong experience working in self-contained, cross-category, autism, or resource special education settings.
• CPI certification is highly desired for the behavior program.
• For early childhood roles: EC certification preferred, or substantial early childhood experience with SPED certification.
• Compassion, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate with other educators and families.
• Current, updated resume reflecting relevant experience and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging, individualized instruction for students with special needs, drawing on evidence-based interventions tailored to each IEP.
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that prioritizes safety, growth, and student well-being.
• Support social, emotional, and academic development while maintaining clear communication with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Document student progress, update IEPs, and participate actively in meetings with staff and caregivers.
• Maintain compliance with all state and district requirements, ensuring high professional standards.
