Physician (NS)

We are currently recruiting for a Physician at Central Regional Hospital (CRH). The major responsibility of the Physician is to assure optimum patient care and medical management of patients at Central Regional Hospital.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

• Thorough knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of general, preventive medicine and of the techniques involved.
• Thorough knowledge of biological, social, and psychological developmental processes at all ages.
• Thorough knowledge of the practice and theories of the medical specialty or subspecialty to which assigned.
• Skill in treating and diagnosing a variety of diseases and injuries in the practice of an applicable specialty of medicine.
• Ability to assess and interpret laboratory results, clinical data and information relative to the patient's condition.

This position is exempt and is exempt from certain provisions of the State Human Resources Act (GS 126). This position is designated as mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.

Salary Range: $147,932.00 - $295,863.00. A sign-on bonus of $20,000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.

This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement. The normal working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and rotating call; however, flexibility is required to meet hospital needs.

CRH is a state-of-the-art psychiatric hospital located in Butner, NC. Our location is ideal with four seasons, mild temperatures and provides an easy commute to the N.C. mountains or beaches. Butner possesses small town charm but is within 30 minutes of a major metropolitan area including Research Triangle Park, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Durham, NC.
