Job Title: Assembly Mechanic Job Description
The Assembly Mechanic builds and assembles mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components for paving and construction equipment in a clean, modern manufacturing environment. This role focuses on custom equipment assembly based on blueprints and schematics, precise use and calibration of torque tools, and thorough inspection to ensure all equipment meets shop standards. You work closely with a team, support personnel, and occasionally vendors to resolve discrepancies and keep production on schedule.
Responsibilities
You join a large, state-of-the-art facility that plays a key role in manufacturing and distributing paving equipment used on construction sites, offering a sense of pride and impact in the work you do. The culture emphasizes respect and support for employees, with consistent feedback from supervisors to help you grow and succeed. Regular celebrations and gifts around major holidays create a positive, appreciative atmosphere, and the focus on treating employees well fosters long-term engagement and strong team relationships.
Work Environment
You work in a clean manufacturing environment within a very large, modern facility where multiple lines of equipment are assembled. The setting is more like a mechanic shop progressing through different stages from start to finish rather than a traditional fast-paced assembly line. You use state-of-the-art tools and equipment, including various torque tools, pneumatic tools, and calibration fixtures, while collaborating closely with teammates and support staff. The environment is structured, organized, and safety-conscious, with clear processes and standards guiding daily work.
