Federal Sales Manager

FEDERAL SALES MANAGER (Data Analytics) Location: EASTERN U.S.A Work model: REMOTE Our client is a high-tech software product company that brings the next level of technology to the world through a patent-based hybrid graph analytical platform. Our system is used by US Departments, Intelligence Agencies, and top Fortune500 companies to combat money laundering, fraud, human trafficking, terrorism or organized crime. We are looking for a committed high performer who will join our team for the Federal Sales Manager position. The role of this person is to individually drive our client's sales in the US Federal Government accounts with focus on the most advanced agencies where they are looking for cutting-edge technology. The territory is the US Federal Government with the exception of the Department of Defense where you will be selling directly and with channel resellers, and thus a comprehensive sales skillset is needed. This is an individual contributor position and requires a strong technical understanding. The Federal Sales Manager should be well-organized, hard-worker, and a team-player, who is eager to run the complete sales process, including generating new leads using networking and events, delivering quality presentations, bidding, negotiating, contract management and closing. This type of work is goal-oriented, and may require irregular working hours according to business needs and possibly changing time zones. Old-fashioned lead generation (e.g., telemarketing) is not expected. Marketing department provides leads on a regular basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a tech-sales person with experience selling software and analytics (preferably fraud/crime/AML detection, or at least interested in such topics). We are looking for a person who will be able to easily discuss functional aspects of our client, provide product demos directly to customers, and demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in our domain areas (tech-selling). Responsibilities: Plan, organize, lead sales growth, penetrate new and under-served accounts and maintain customer satisfaction on a long-term basis. Develop and maintain account plans and execute sales strategies aligned with the account plans. Demonstrate advanced knowledge and manage procurement and contracting processes. Meet or exceed sales objectives. Build and maintain a pipeline of business opportunities. Submit accurate and detailed weekly sales forecasts to sales management. Provide quotes and present proposals to customers and engage face-to-face meetings with key prospects, customers, and partners on a weekly basis. Maintain detailed knowledge of our client's products, training offerings, competitive products, customer vertical industry, and have in-depth understanding of customer goals. Help customers make future solutions decisions based on product roadmaps. Communicate a strong technical understanding of Our client’s offerings and know when to engage assistance from pre-sales, engineering, marketing, and senior management. Recommend new products and product modifications to assure customer satisfaction. Exemplify professionalism and work to become a trusted advisor to customers and partners. Requirements: Minimum of 4 – 5 years of proven work experience in sales, pre-sales or sales related activities. Bachelor’s degree. Strong contacts network within US Federal agencies and systems integrators (large & small) Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Very good interpersonal and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills. Excellent Presentation skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Fluent English. Experience with sales techniques and tools. Good and credible references are required. Significant travel will be required, COVID permitting. Nice to have (additional knowledge or skills to be considered as a plus): Graph analytics experience.
