The Recreation, Partnerships, and Property Management Section manage facility reservations, recreation opportunities, partnerships, and visitor services throughout King County Parks. Job Duties What You Will Be Doing : Coordinate athletic field reservations and facility rentals by responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person. Process reservations, agreements and required documentation using ActiveNet and other related business systems. Build positive relationships with park users, organizations, and community partners while providing exceptional customer service. Manage customer accounts by collecting payments, following up on delinquent accounts, and modifying permit status as appropriate. Resolve scheduling conflicts and customer concerns by applying sound judgment and effective problem-solving skills. Work closely with the Event Coordinator to ensure accurate scheduling and availability of fields and facilities and collaborate on multi-use event days to maintain accessibility for all park users. Communicate and support change management initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Serve as Venue Supervisor during large events to help ensure safe and successful operations. Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Qualifications You Bring : Experience coordinating athletic, recreation, facility event or similar scheduling activities using ActiveNet or comparable reservation or scheduling system. Demonstrated customer service experience with the ability to build positive relationships and effectively interact with diverse customers, community members, and partners. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, deadlines, and competing priorities. Experience performing administrative support functions such as processing payments, preparing agreements or documentation, maintaining records, and coordinating information. Experience using Microsoft 365 applications and other technology systems to support administrative, scheduling, customer account, or operational functions. Ability to apply equity and social justice concepts and principles to work activities and decision making. Supplemental Information Working Conditions : Work Location : The team works in a hybrid model, with days in the office as well as telecommuting. The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on business needs and is subject to change. Tuesdays are required days in office. Some evenings and weekends may be needed to support park activities. The primary onsite location is Marymoor Park, 6046 West Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE, Redmond, WA 98052. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Work Schedule : This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. This position is not exempt from the overtime provision of the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
