Reservations Manager

The Reservations Manager is responsible for maximizing Rooms revenue through management of the hotel's room inventory, and for assisting in managing of the day-to-day activities and duties of the Reservations Department.

Responsibilities include maximizing room revenue and occupancy, attending revenue strategy meetings, monitoring competitors, ensuring accurate processing of travel agent checks, controlling suite inventory, maintaining rate integrity, making weekly test calls, being knowledgeable about PMS functions, ensuring timely completion of forecasts, maintaining a professional working relationship, assisting in preparation of monthly revenue and occupancy forecasting, knowing the hotel's rate quoting standards, completing weekly work schedules for reservation sales agents, processing/correcting daily payroll sheets, following hotel credit policies, understanding revenue strategy restrictions, being familiar with corporate sponsored programs, updating group information, communicating availability to wholesalers, monitoring VIPs, maintaining supplies, reviewing log books, maintaining a filing system, and complying with Highgate Hotel Standards.

Qualifications include a 4-year college degree or equivalent experience, previous management experience, proficiency in Windows and company approved software, ability to work flexible hours, light physical work, effective communication skills, multitasking and prioritization, attendance at hotel meetings and trainings, maintaining regular attendance, high standards of personal appearance, compliance with hotel standards, productivity efforts, problem-solving skills, understanding and applying complex information, cross-training in other hotel areas, maintaining confidentiality, and showing initiative.
