Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract role is conveniently located near Waldoboro, ME, offering a flexible, low-hour commitment—just 4 hours per week—ideal for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a balanced schedule.

You’ll work with a diverse student population, collaborating closely with educators and families to facilitate growth, movement, and physical access to the school environment. The assignment begins with summer school (07/07/2026-07/30/2026) and seamlessly continues through the 2026/2027 academic year (08/24/2026-06/11/2027).

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Active PT licensure in the state of Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with children and young adolescents
• Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Familiarity with IEP process is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
• Deliver physical therapy services for K-8 students in accordance with IEP goals
• Complete required documentation promptly and accurately
• Consult with teachers and staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom
• Communicate progress and strategies with families and multidisciplinary team members
